Young or old, everybody loves Elmo! The fire-engine red dynamo with the positive attitude and infectious giggle loves to dance the Hokey Pokey and he’s the perfect role model for boys and girls! The outgoing, curious little guy is a perennial optimist who’s full of wonder as he discovers the world. At the Elmo’s Hokey Pokey Dance Camp boys, girls and Elmo journey through the wonderful world of dance, tumbling, song, creativity and tons of imagination!
With his childlike innocence, Elmo can trun almost anything inot fun creating a comfortable environment of creative joy for both boys and girls.
DATES & TIMES
Session #1: July 22-26| 9am - 12pm
Session #2: July 7-10| 1pm - 4pm
CAMP ACTIVITIES
DANCE | MUSIC
Creative movement incorporating basic ballet and jazz movement. There will also be song and dance, imaginative improvisation and the course we will teach teh Hokey Pokey! Music is always age appropriate and features many Seasame Street songs.
STORYTIME
We will feature three Elmo books such as Hokey Pokey Elmo and Shake a Leg!
GAMES AND CRAFTS
Decorating Elmo coloring pages that will be used to create an Elmo Poster, children will make a yarn Elmo nose to use for the Pin the NOse on Elmo game and each child will create an Elmo face made from felt and decorated with Glitter and more!
WHAT TO WEAR
Boys: T-shirts and shorts or seat pants, white socks, and sneakers.
Girls: Leotard and tights, white socks, sneakers or ballet shoes.
PARENT VIEWING
Parents are invitied to the last hour of camp on day 5 to see an informal performance and to view the arts and crafts created by the children. Parents can pick up their complimentary class picture at this time.
CAMP COST
$80 per child. Sibling discount is $5 per child. Costs include all classes, activities, crafts supplies, class picture. Due to dietary concerns, snacks are not provided.
SNACKS
Parents must send children to camp with a dry snack and a beverage. Snack and beverage will be consumed during "snack-time". We are a nut free studio, so please no snacks containing nut products.
