CIRQUE SPECTACULAR CAMP
Ladies and gentlemen!!! The lights come up and the audience is mesmerized by all of the different circus acts! Build confidence and skills that can be incorporated into our very own circus show! Campers will experience the world of dance and have extra fun doing crafts, acro, tumbling and more! A good circus show must have an enormous amount of creativity and flair!

A lunch from Subway can be provided daily. It includes a 6-inch sub of choice, snack and drink. The cost is $25 for the week.
DANCE | MUSIC
Our circus trainees will learn some jazz, acro and tumbling skills! Different music will be chosen in order to create a fun and interesting stroryline. We will also be learning some exciting partner tricks! If you’re interested in gymnastics and acro then this is the camp for you!
GAMES AND CRAFTS
We’ll have a ton of fun designing and decorating some circus themed decorations and costume items. These will help transform the space into our circus theme and will ultimately bring our circus story to life for our big show! Each camper will design and create their own fun and creative mask and we’ll provide felt, foam, stickers, glitter and more!
WHAT TO WEAR
Boys: T-shirts and shorts, bare feet.
Girls: Leotard and tights, bare feet.
PARENT VIEWING
Parents are invited to the last hour of camp on day 5 to see an informal performance and to view the arts and crafts created by the children.
We are a nut free studio, so please no snacks containing nut products.
BROADWAY BOUND CAMP
Being a performer in a musical theatre show is so thrilling!!! Experience the excitement of being involved with everything that comes with being in a musical! Learn choreography, vocals, spoken lines, staging directions, and will also be highly involved in designing and decorating sets, props and costumes. Dance styles will be appropriate to the musical selected. Our final show on the last day of camp will be performed in an exciting theatre outside of the studio!
We’re lucky to have a professional performer/singer/instructor joining us for this exciting camp.
Alison Smyth: Winner of the 2010 BroadwayWorld.com Toronto Award - Best Female in a Featured Role (Jersey Boys), Alison Smyth has been performing professionally since 2004 when she debuted in the original Canadian cast of HAIRSPRAY! in Toronto. A proud member of both the Canadian Actors' Equity Assoc. and the Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television & Radio Artists (ACTRA), Alison is living her dream come true! She’s thrilled to be joining us for her second year at Elan Dance Arts and can’t wait to meet all the eager cast members!!

DANCE | MUSIC
Our cast members will be given sheet music in order to learn their lyrics and melodies. They will have specific vocal rehearsals where they are lead through proper vocal warm ups and then taught certain harmonies for required songs. Choreography will be taught to certain songs and sections of the musical as well.
GAMES AND CRAFTS
Campers will play a huge role in designing a believable concept for the musical performance. We’ll decorate and create crafts to transform our theatre space. Each camper will be provided with a number of different and creative supplies in order to express their creativity and style!
WHAT TO WEAR

B-Boy / B-Girl BREAKDANCING CAMP
Wish you could be like the JabbaWockeeZ, Quest Crew, Super Cr3w, Domic or Hok? Learn from one of the top crew members in Canada, Lee (Lethal) Pham from Supernaturalz. You’ll learn up toprocking, footwork patterns with clean transitions, a variety of moves, freezes and battling. It’s going to be exciting!
We want this summer to be the summer where you become a more confident B-Boy/B-Girl. The most amazing part of being a B-Boy/B-Girl is the ability to fuse your own style into your dancing. So we can’t wait to encourage each and every one of you to B-Yourself.

INSTRUCTOR
Lee “Lethal” Pham wears many hats: b-boy, artistic director, entrepreneur and now actor. Known in the b-boy community as Lethal, he is a fifth generation member of world renowned b-boy crew The Supernaturalz. He is a part of Toronto-based contemporary collective The Chimera Project and Christian dance movement EPO. He has proudly represented Canada on stages across the world. He passionately teaches breaking and is determined to positively engage communities at a global level. He is also the co-founder and co-artistic director of the not-for-profit organization Break It Down and spearheaded successful partnerships with Toronto District School Board, Harbourfront Centre and York University. He is also the co-owner and manager or international marketing organizationBack to the Underground, with clients such as Red Bull, Cadbury Adams, Molson and R-16. His newest endeavours acting as Eddie from the cast of new TV show Millions and as Len in Toronto premiered dance-theatre production Enter the Shadow: The Life of a B-boy will prove to be one of his finest hats yet.
DANCE | MUSIC
We will be using all different style of hip hop throughout this camp. In order to build versatility and style, you need to be able to match different qualities of music. All music will be age appropriate!
GAMES AND CRAFTS
Students will have the chance to create their own t-shirts with their B-Boy or B-Girl names. Names will be decided on by the group and our teacher. T-shirts will be designed and printed for each student by the end of the week.

SUMMER DANCE INTENSIVE
Want to continue your serious training over the summer? Want to try some new disciplines and work to achieve specific goals before the fall season? The dance intensive is the perfect program or those goals.
The dance intensive is a 5 day program where dancers train from 9am-6:30pm and every hour is a different discipline. There are 2 separate weeks offered. The first week is ideal for students that are new to dance or that have not danced competitively before. The second week is for students with competitive experience.
The dance intensive is mandatory for all current competitive students as well as any new students who wish to be considered for our competitive team. We bring in guest teachers from all over Canada and the US. Come and show us what you can do on the floor!
